How to begin eating clean

Tips for beginning to eat real food

Make the change gradually and arm yourself with knowledge.
The changes don’t have to come overnight. Become informed and do the research. You’ll be shocked to learn how you’ve been deceived by the food industry for so long. But information is powerful. Read label and reach ingredients. Slowly rid yourself of highly processed foods.

A small step to begin is to just start reading ingredients on the food you eat or buy.   Do this for a week.  Read every package of anything you want to eat from or you are looking to buy in the store. Start looking at what you are putting in your body.

Then move to looking up some of the ingredients you have been reading.  What are they? Why does a product contain it? Have there been any health risks related to that ingredient? Do other countries ban that ingredient from being in their food supply? (You'll be surprised how many US food companies make the same product for outside of the US but have to use better ingredients than they use inside the US).

Learn about good ingredients that can be used to make your own treats and sweets, without the harmful ingredients.  Good, whole grain flours, or a mixture of gluten-free and almond flours, using bean...YES, beans like black beans or chickpeas...you won't be able to taste them and they make the most healthy and delicious desserts!

Ditch the white processed sugar and switch to coconut sugar, date sugar, maple syrup, honey, or a good liquid stevia but make sure it's pure stevia from the leaf extract without any other additives.
