Cranberry Sauce

I like to make my own cranberry sauce and avoid the high fructose corn syrup laden canned stuff. This is an easy and delicious recipe, naturally sweetened. Cranberry Sauce 12 ounce s ( 1 bag) fresh cranberries ½ cup raw, unfiltered honey or pure maple syrup ½ cup water Optional add-ins: Zest of 1 medium organic orange (about 1 teaspoon) ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon and/or ¼ cup fresh orange juice or about 1/2-1tsp Grand Marnier Rinse the cranberries well and drain off excess water. Pick through the cranberries and discard any squishy ones. In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, honey or syrup and water. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries have popped and the mixture has thickened to your liking, about 5 to 10 minutes. Double Chocolate Muffins

Eating right and eating delicious treats don't have to be at odds. These muffins are so chocolatey and delicious but have real ingredients, low sugar content and are vegan as well. I don't use any processed foods, no refined processed sugar and I use cacao powder and chips rather than processed cocoa and chips with added sugars. Because these are made with real ingredients, they will not last on the counter long. If you aren't going to eat them within a few days, it's best to keep them in the freezer. They thaw overnight or in the microwave for 30 seconds very well. Hungarian Genealogy

I've been having a good deal of luck with the Hungarian side of the family lately. There has been a plethora of updates to searchable databases such as Ancestry.com and FamilySearch.com lately. As such, there's been a lot of new info that I've been able to add to my tree. I'll post some of those particulars in a few days. Today I wanted to post some photos that belonged to my great-grandfather, grandfather, and grandmother. I don't have a clue who most of these folks are, but am hoping that if seen, maybe connections will be made. :)
